On Sunday night, Iran launched fresh attacks on Iranian Kurdish opposition factions based in Iraqi Kurdistan, killing one of their members, less than a week after similar attacks targeted those factions, which Tehran accuses of provoking demonstrations in the Islamic Republic.

And the anti-terrorist services in Iraqi Kurdistan said: “The (Iranian) Revolutionary Guards have again attacked Iranian Kurdish parties”, without mentioning any result of the casualties as a result of the strikes that began around midnight.

For its part, the Iranian Revolutionary Guard has confirmed the launch of missile and drone attacks against “strongholds and conspiracy centers” of what they describe as “separatist terrorist groups hostile to Iran.”

The Revolutionary Guards said in a statement that the attacks targeted camps in Jezhnekan, Zargiz and Koysanjak, and spoke of casualties among those they accused of gaining support from “global arrogance” towards the United States and its allies.

The Iranian Kurdistan Democratic Party and the Iranian Kurdish nationalist organization Komala confirmed that the attacks were targeting their facilities.

And the official Iraqi news agency reported that “the headquarters of three Iranian opposition parties in the Kurdistan Region were bombed by Iranian missiles and drones.” In an official statement, the Iraqi Kurdish government condemned the Iranian attacks. The Iraqi government expressed its “strong condemnation” of the Iranian bombing and refused to turn its country into a “settlement arena”.

In a statement, the U.S. Middle East Military Command (CENTCOM) condemned the “Iranian attacks across the border.”
