Qatar organized a dazzling opening ceremony for the 22nd edition of the FIFA World Cup, which began today, Sunday, and will last until December 18th.

– The opening ceremony began with a group of dance performances that ignited the enthusiasm of the crowds, followed by a lyrical piece from the heritage at the beginning of the ceremony.

– The opening ceremony featured a special presentation of the championship mascot flying to the sound of music, followed by a speech by famous movie star Morgan Freeman accompanied by young Qatari Ghanem Al-Moftah, Goodwill Ambassador to Qatar.

The ceremony also witnessed a performance of songs from previous World Cup tournaments, followed by a multilingual song featuring famous Korean singer Jungkook.

– A documentary was broadcast to a group of young people playing football outdoors in which Emir Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani attended during his youth and Emir Hamad appeared in the dressing room at Al Bayt Stadium and signed the jersey he was preparing wore for decades.

– Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, Emir of Qatar, gave a speech on the sidelines of the opening ceremony, welcoming the crowds from all over the world, regardless of their nationality, religion or race.

– Emir Tamim reiterated that Qatar has made great efforts to organize one of the most successful tournaments in World Cup history and expressed his hope that the whole world will witness a dazzling football festival in the country of Doha.
