Emirates News Agency – The President attends the ‘COP 27’ conference in Sharm El Sheikh

ABU DHABI, Nov 6 / WAM / His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE President ‘may God protect him’, attends the 27th session of the Conference of States Parties to the United Nations Framework Convention on Climate Change “COP27” to be held in Sharm El Sheikh, Republic of the Arab Sisters of Egypt.
The conference, which starts today and lasts until November 18, and which will be attended by world leaders, heads of government, representatives of international bodies and civil society, will discuss many issues and dossiers related to strengthening international efforts to combat climate change and mitigate it of its negative impacts discuss implications and how to ensure sustainable development and energy security coupled with effective climate action alongside countries’ commitments and initiatives on sustainability solutions and other issues.
His Highness is accompanied by an official delegation which includes HH Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of the Presidential Court, HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation, HH Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan and HH Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Tahnoun Al Nahyan, Counsel for Special Affairs at the Presidential Court, Dr. Sultan bin Ahmed Al Jaber, Minister of Industry and High Technology, Mariam bint Mohammed Saeed Hareb Al Muhairi, Minister of Climate Change and Environment, Sheikh Shakhbut bin Nahyan bin Mubarak Al Nahyan, Minister of State, and Ali bin Hammad Al Shamsi, Deputy Secretary General of the Supreme Council for national security, and Maryam Al Kaabi, the country’s Ambassador to the Arab Republic of Egypt.
