ABU DHABI, Nov 11 / WAM / The Presidential Court’s Emirates Council for Sharia Fatwas and the Organization for Islamic Cooperation’s International Islamic Fiqh Academy signed a memorandum of understanding for cooperation and coordination in a number of areas and for the exchange of expertise and experiences between them in the field of the development of the legal fatwa system, the quality of its results and the control of legal fatwas with a sound scientific methodology that takes into account reality and looks to the future, while strengthening joint action in the field of elimination of Suspicions, takfir and sectarian fanaticism based on the teachings of our tolerant Islamic religion and in accordance with humane and civilized values.
In the presence of His Excellency Sheikh Abdullah bin Bayah, Chairman of the Emirates Council for Sharia Fatwas, the Memorandum of Understanding was signed by the Islamic Fiqh Academy, His Excellency Dr. Qutb Sano, Secretary General of the Islamic Fiqh Academy and signed by the Emirates Council for Sharia Fatwas, His Excellency Dr. Omar Habtoor Al-Dari, Director General of the Council.
