Emirates News Agency – Emirates attends Arab Government Development Organization Executive Board meeting

Rabat, Nov. 13 /WAM/ While participating in the activities of the 114th Ordinary Session of the Executive Board of the Arab Administrative Development Organization held in the Moroccan capital of Rabat, the UAE government delegation reviewed the UAE’s efforts, initiatives and partnerships to aimed at advancing Arab government administration and preparations for organizing the second session of the Arab Government Management Forum, which will focus on the issue of digital transformation of government in Arab countries, as part of the work of the World Government Summit in February 2023.
The UAE government delegation was led by Ohoud bint Khalfan Al Roumi, Minister of State for Government Development and Future, President of the Federal Agency for Government Human Resources and included HE Laila Obaid Al Suwaidi, Acting Director General of the Federal Agency for Government Human Resources, Ibrahim Fikri, Executive Director of the Support Services Sector, and Abdul Karim Al Asmawi, Director of the Organizations Office and International Relations. The meeting was attended by ministers responsible for administrative development in Arab countries and a number of directors of Arab government institutes.
Speaking at the meeting, Ohood Al Roumi emphasized the UAE Government’s determination to actively participate in shaping the future of the Arab government administration, building the Arab government’s human capital and equipping it with the future skills necessary for the advancement of the public service sector are required. and strengthen its readiness for the challenges facing the region and the world.
It reviewed the proposed agenda for the second session of the Arab Government Administration Forum organized by the UAE Government as part of the activities of the World Government Summit on 13-15 February 2023 in partnership with the League of Arab States and the Arab Administrative Development Organization, with the broad participation of ministers and officials from heads of international organizations, ministers of public service and managers of institutes of Arab government administration, noting that they focus on the topic of digital transformation of government in Arab countries and its important Role focused on developing Arab government administration.
At the convening of the meeting of Arab ministers responsible for Arab civil service and government development, the second version of the report on the state of Arab government administration will be presented.
For its part, the Arab Administrative Development Organization commended the efforts of the UAE government in organizing the first session of the Arab Government Administration Forum and the great success it experienced, appreciating the constructive partnership between the two sides in organizing the second session of the Arab Government Administration Forum and stressed its importance in strengthening Arab partnerships aimed at developing government administration in the Arab world.
During the meeting of the Arab Administrative Development Organization Executive Council, developments in the implementation of the Council’s previous decisions were followed up, a report on the organization’s strategic plan was presented and a number of issues related to its work during the coming period were discussed.
