ABU DHABI, Nov. 11 /WAM/ His Excellency Abdullah bin Touq Al Marri, Economy Minister, said that thanks to the forward-looking vision of the wise leadership, the UAE has made great strides in developing the tourism sector as it is making a significant contribution to sustainable economic diversification of the national economy for the next fifty years.
His Excellency added on the occasion of the launch of the National Tourism Strategy 2031 that this sector has achieved qualitative leaps and strong and record-breaking growth rates, confirming the country’s leadership in the main global competitive indicators in travel, aviation and hospitality.
He said: “Today we are ushering in a new phase in the development and sustainable process of Emirati tourism in line with international best practices through the launch of the National Tourism Strategy 2031, which will help to ensure the UAE’s leading position in the global travel market consolidate and tourism card.”
His Excellency continued: “The strategy aims to increase the contribution of the tourism sector to the GDP of the national economy, strengthen the country’s tourism identity and promote it in tourism markets, encourage tourism investment in travel, aviation, hospitality and new Investment to seize opportunities to attract more international tourism companies to the country’s markets and encourage cadres Al Wataniya to participate in the development and development of various tourism sectors and digitize tourism data and statistics based on modern technologies to make efforts of the UAE in providing an attractive and safe national tourism environment, pioneering and integrated tourism services, diverse and unique destinations and advanced infrastructure for the tourism sector.
